Railway Roundabout

From Railway Roundabout Railway Roundabout is an interesting blog: its main focus is on Japanese rail service (including city rail, maglev and freight; lots of stuff about Japanese passenger service), but with plenty of digressions into British railway history.

It also makes use of another synonym for trainspotter, railfan, or FRN: “gricer” — which, according to the Urban Dictionary, is “someone who braves rainy and windy station platforms to catch a glimpse of unusual trains.”
