CN Derailment Strands Crew Overnight

CN logo A CN train derailed early this morning on the CN mainline near Lytton, BC when it hit a rockslide; the crew members were trapped for seven hours on a steep embankment before they could be rescued at dawn. The 105-car train had two locomotives and a single wood products car derail — by any standard, a minor incident, but the footage of large, modern engines fallen down the embankment was quite dramatic.
