CN Train Derails in Quebec

CN accident watch, part 437: a CN train with more than 120 freight cars derailed in — not near, in — Montmagny, Quebec at 1:30 AM yesterday morning. Four of the 24 rail cars that left the tracks contained sulphuric acid, but nothing was spilled. This is the second accident in three years for Montmagny; the mayor is complaining that CN trains travel through his town too fast. CBC News; The Globe and Mail (where a picture of the wreck made today’s front page).
