Tinkering with the Site Design
I had a bit of energy today, so I started making some minor changes to the site design, mostly with the aim of reducing clutter, adding some white space and just simplifying the design. At the moment it’s in medias res; I’ve still got a few more things to play with. Occasional weirdnesses and cockuppery may occur during this process.

I’m contemplating moving to Moveable Type (and trying to decide between WP & MT).
I’ve heard one of the downsides to MT is that it’s hard to tinker — well, time-consuming to tinker and republish your pages.
I noticed that you use MT, and wondered what your experience was like?
Thanks. I enjoy your site a lot, though I know very little about maps/cartography.

It is time-consuming and hard to tinker with: that’s the tradeoff for complete and total control over your pages.

You site is very nice. I enjoy your site too. But I think it can be more interesting if you change type.
