SF Chronicle Geography Quiz
Finally, a geography quiz that isn’t a variant of pointing to a country on an interactive map. This quiz, though, isn’t interactive; it’s simply the online version of a feature that appeared in yesterday’s San Francisco Chronicle, so it’s just a list of questions followed by a list of answers. But the answers are refreshingly tough — I’d have to think about some, and probably would get more than a few wrong. Via Gadling.

A FEW wrong? DARN ! I only got a 50% on the quiz and I generally know more geography than my peers. A humbling experience !

I got 29 but it was tough and included a few guesses.

I managed 30; Given the slight North American trend of the questions and the fact that I live in Australia and don’t really know my Appalachians from my Cascades, I’m pretty pleased with that result. Please, Map Room, find some more of these!

I took the test and got 18 right, but some don’t seem to really be geography questions, such as the one about where a scene in a restaurant was filmed and some are more historic like the questions about Texas, etc. However, most of the questions were good. Back to the books. B-)
