Google Earth Imagery Update
Google Earth Blog and Ogle Earth report that more areas of the planet now have high-resolution imagery in Google Earth, many of which are low-population areas like South Georgia Island, Siberia, the Australian interior and — wow — the Himalayas. The Caribbean got an update, too, says Frank. Alas, my own isolated neck of the woods is still low-res.

I keep hoping that Google will match Ask.com’s map detail, which is good enough to see cars clearly in much of the U.S.
