Paleogeography and Google Earth

Late Permian Missed this earlier. Google Earth’s time animation feature is now part of the free version, and Google Earth user Valery Hronusov has taken global paleogeographic data put out by geology professor Ron Blakey — whom we last met thanks to his paleogeographic maps of North America — and compiled an animated Google Earth layer showing the Earth over the last 600 million years. I made a World Wind add-on six months ago with these maps at a higher resolution than what is available on Dr. Blakey’s web site.
