Jigsaw Maps
A cabinet of jigsaw maps used to teach geography to the children of George III is now on public display, the Daily Telegraph reports. The cabinet and its contents were bought in 2000 and would have been exported to the U.S., but the British government put a temporary ban on their export last fall until a buyer could be found. The Art Fund has since paid £120,000 for them, and the cabinet and jigsaw maps are now on display at Kew Palace, which has joint custody with the Victoria and Albert’s Museum of Childhood.
