Waldseemüller Map Stamp Issued
Deutsche Post, the German post office, has issued a stamp in honour of the 500th anniversary of Martin Waldseemüller’s 1507 map of the world — this is the map, you may remember, that first named the New World “America.” The stamp, which costs 2.20€ and is sold in sets of ten, went on sale on Tuesday.
