Mapping Atmospheric Water Vapour

Water vapour [EO] A NASA satellite, the Ocean Surface Topography Mission (OSTM)/Jason-2, primarily measures the height of the ocean surface with a radar altimeter. It also has a sensor to measure atmospheric moisture; this map represents water vapour in the atmosphere measured during the sensor’s first week of operations. Earth Observatory, JPL images.
