The Earthgamz Summer Olympics Google Earth plugin maps Olympic athletes to their hometowns; it uses the Windows-only embedded Google Earth plugin on the page, but you can also download the (somewhat unwieldy, in my experience) full KML file for use within Google Earth itself.
