Real-time Kinematic GPS

If GPS isn’t accurate enough for you, you should probably look into something like real-time kinematic (RTK) navigation, which corrects GPS signals down to an accuracy of one centimetre. RTK is explained on Wikipedia and Magellan’s site. Make points to a project to build a low-cost RTK-GPS receiver.
