Reversing the Mercator Effect

Greenland and Africa reversed Stephen Von Worley has some fun reversing the distortions of the Mercator projection, which exaggerates the size of things at the poles in order to achieve consistent compass bearings. He imagines what would happen if Greenland was on the equator and Africa in the Arctic, and goes on to do the same thing with Alaska and Texas and with the U.K. and Cuba. Freaky.
