Bernhard, I appreciate the jokery, but, to play it straight for a moment, payments and billing weren't the issue here, but, I think, a badly configured web server.
I'm appreciative of the fact that I have a European audience. I'm sure the guys at DreamHost can't figure out why I was apoplectic about an outage that from their perspective ran from midnight to 9 AM on a Sunday morning, but that's daytime in Europe!
Sigh. These things always seem to happen at inconvenient times like these. I'm crossing my fingers that something like this won't happen again during the Olympics, but I know the way my luck usually turns.
